gnome-screensaver does not work on DISPLAY=:1 if it is already working at DISPLAY=:0, any workaround?

gnome-screensaver does not work on DISPLAY=:1 if it is already working at DISPLAY=:0, any workaround?

I use Ubuntu 12.10, and Unity conflicts with most 3D games I try to play. So, I have to use X :1 to play games. But that renders me with an un-lockable display...
If I try to use xscreensaver at DISPLAY=:1, it wont recognize mouse and keyboard input from some games (like Urban Terror, I think it may be all SDL games?). I found that DISPLAY=:1 xdotool getmouselocation wont change if the mouse is at the game, despite the data at sudo cat /dev/input/mice will change...
any workaround?
